Questions people ask
What is the full form of OTP?
OTP stands for one-time password. It is a short code sent by SMS, email or an app to confirm that you are the person making a login or payment. It works only once and expires after a few minutes.
Can I share my OTP with a bank employee?
No. A genuine bank, payment app or company will never ask for your OTP. The OTP is how the system checks it is you, so sharing it hands that check to someone else. Anyone asking for it, on a call, a message or in person, should be treated as a scammer.
Why did I get an OTP for a payment I did not make?
It can mean someone has your card or login details and is trying to use them. Do not share the code. Change your password, contact your bank through its official app or number, and block the card if needed.
