Money word, in plain English

Redemption

Selling your fund units back to get your money out.

Example. On redemption, the scheme pays you the current NAV for your units.

Redemption is when you sell your mutual fund units back to the scheme and receive money. Open-ended funds allow it on any business day, priced at that day’s NAV.
