Registration certificate: the official record that a vehicle is registered, and to whom.
RC stands for registration certificate. It’s the official record that a vehicle is registered with the transport authority, and in whose name. If you bought the vehicle on a loan, the RC also records the lender’s claim on it, called hypothecation, until you get it removed through your RTO after the last EMI.
